The Kayak Foundation is a leader in youth kayak programming & instruction. We partner with The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy to provide a range of youth kayak opportunities for camps, youth groups and summer programs.
Camps & Summer Programs
For information on the Brooklyn Bridge Park Kids Kayak Program for camps, youth groups and summer programs, please contact the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. The Kayak Foundation does not operate its own youth camp – all camp activities are coordinated through the Conservancy.
Variety Boys & Girls Club, Queens
Brooklyn Kayak Guides sponsors a weekly youth winter pool kayaking program at Variety Boys & Girls Club in Long Island City, Queens. For more information, please contact Variety Boys and Girls Club.
The Kayak Foundation welcomes kids to attend classes & trips at Pier 4 with their parents or guardians.
Depending upon their size, weight, capability & class or trip, children 11 years and older may paddle in their own boat and younger children may paddle in a double kayak with a parent or guardian. Contact us to discuss youth kayak classes & activities at our Pier 4 location.

Address & Directions
We are located at One15 Brooklyn Marina, 159 Bridge Park Dr, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Whether you enter from Pier 6 located near Atlantic Avenue or Old Fulton Street, follow the path to the One15 Brooklyn Marina between piers 3 and 5. You’ll know it when you arrive: you’ll see the moored sailboats.
There is indoor public parking at the One Brooklyn Bridge Park residential tower. Free parking in the neighborhood near the park is extremely limited and cannot be counted on, but you could try. We highly recommend taking public transportation, biking or walking to the park. BBP is accessible by subway (A/C to High Street, F to York Street or 2/3 to Clark Street train station) bus (nearest buses are the B25, B61, B63, B67) or arrive by East River Ferry or NY Water Taxi.
If biking is your preferred means of transportation then the Brooklyn Bridge Park is the perfect place for you. Whether you enter from the North or South Entrance of the park, there’s a bike path that will lead you to Pier 4.
